My first baby shower!

So sorry!!!
Dispite our camera woes, everything is going great. Baby is great, I'm great, Nick's great. I can definitely tell that baby is starting to run out of room and get more squished as I am starting to get quite a bit more uncomfortable. Simple tasks like: tying my shoes, bending over, shaving, putting lotion on....these things are getting quite complicated! It's kinda funny though and I just have to take it all in stride. I really can't complain about anything so I'm just embrassing all the changes going on. :-)
This week, I am officially entering my 3rd trimester and honestly getting a little freaked out. Whenever I start to think about how this baby is going to eventually come out, I get this nervous, sick feeling and sort of start to panic. That's normal right? I think I'm just going to have to take it one day at a time and not think to much about all that stuff.
Baby showers are starting to approach...my first one is in Colorado November 9th, then a school one towards the end of November, then my big Texas one December 6th...yes on my birthday!! I'm so looking forward to them, although I do hate it when all the attention is on me, but they will be a blast and can't wait for them.
I promise I will try my hardest to get some pictures posted soon...till then, this is as good as it gets! :-)

A Bad Picture!!

We love Boys!!!
After seeing this picture, we are 100% sure it's a boy. This picture cracks me up b/c he is spread eagle and we are looking at his booty and "private area" ...from the bottom up. We got some great pictures yesterday and it was especially fun for Nick to see it all because last time he saw a sonogram was when he was the size of a blueberry....not much to see there!

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love you, Tomorrow!!!
I also think I'm starting to feel a few more pokes, either that or I just have really crazy gas bubbles..ha! :) Oh wait, girls don't do that right? :)
Anyway, as soon as we find out tomorrow what it is, we will let everyone know. Just pray that the little one doesn't have it's legs crossed like it did last time, I don't think I could wait another week!

Getting there...
Well, the day has come where all of a sudden, my belly has popped out there! Seriously I feel as though it happened over night. It's kind of fun though because now people actually know I'm pregnant and don't just think I gained a bunch of weight during the summer. I have also graduated into maternity pants which was the greatest invention of all time! They are SO much more comfortable! Thank goodness my neighbor Casey and I are the same size because I raided her closet and now I have a whole new wardwrobe.
I haven't felt any movement yet, but I swear last night I felt that slight "flutter" that everyone talks about. It kind of gave me that feeling as though I had butterflies in my tummy.
Some other exciting news.....a week from tomorrow is when we have our big sonogram and they are going to tell us if it is a boy or girl. I can hardly stand the wait! They are going to check all the organs and make sure everything looks good in the uterus. I guess right now the baby is about 6 inches head to rump and a little less than a pound. That's pretty big if you ask me, but we definitely have a long ways to go! Everyone says the last half of the pregnancy feels so much longer...oh joy :) I'm already starting to get a little uncomfortable, backaches, cramps in my legs, can't sleep...and I'm only half way there!!!!!!! Oh well, it's all worth it right? I have definitely realized lately how precious this whole experience is and how I cannot take it for granted. As one of my dear friends just lost her baby this weekend due to miscarriage and so many of our friends are unable to even have kids, I truly am thankful for what God has blessed us with!

More Ice Cream!!!
Some exciting news though, he said that we could come back in 3 weeks to have a sonogram and that's when they can tell us if it's a boy or girl. I cannot wait! Everyone just pray that that baby is spread eagle when they do the sonogram, because last time it had it's legs crossed...and if anyone knows me, they know I am a little impatient and don't think I could wait longer than 3 weeks.
Teacher inservice started yesterday, and I have to admit, it's kind of nice to be back into the swing of things. I'm sure I'll change my mind in a couple weeks, but it's better than sitting around the house being bored! Now I just have to get used to these long days without taking naps, boy was I tuckered out yesterday when I got home!!

This kid is already being a brat! ha!!
I woke up in the middle of the night on Saturday with horrible cramping and felt like my kidney was about to explode, probably the worse pain I've ever had in my life. With that said, Nick took me to the ER and found that I had an acute kidney infection and was severely dehydrated. Basically the cause of the kidney infection was because I was so dehydrated and I'm blaming the dehydration on this dang 107 degree weather we are having...that's my story and I'm stickin to it!
The doctor said they probably should have admitted me to the hospital for a day or two, but I responded well to the medicine and promised I'd stay hydrated. All I know is that whatever the nurse gave me in my IV was the best thing in the whole world, it pretty much knocked me our for several hours, letting me get a few hours of sleep. I'm feeling a ton better, not 100%, but anything is better than how I felt Saturday!
The real bad news to the story is that I had to go into my OB today and tell him what happened over the weekend and without any hesitation, he said..."nope, you aren't going to camp, sorry". I was supposed to be leaving Wednesday morning for YoungLives camp for a week with our girls and I was so looking forward to it!! It was in upstate New York and I think the thing I was most excited about was that the high temperature is going to be 79!!! Oh, I couldn't wait to get out of this heat....but no, now I'm stuck in Dallas. The doctor said if camp would have been a week later it wouldn't have been an issue, but he still wants to run a couple more tests and keep an eye on me over the next few days.
The good thing that came out of it was that they made me get a sonogram and we actually got to see something that resembled a human being. Our last sonogram just looked like a blob, but now you can
actually see limbs, head, spine, etc.
Here is one of the pictures. The lady doing the sonogram was laughing b/c she said the baby had it's face smooshed on the bottom of the uterus with it's butt up in the air. She also said that she may have been able to tell the sex, but it's legs were crossed and tucked up into its body. Hopefully in 6 weeks at our next sonogram it isn't doing the same thing.
So I guess the most important thing is that baby is fine and I have to keep reminding myself that it's not just about me anymore....:0)

New to this
So as of now, little Seeman is the size of a LIME, holy cow!! I will be 12 weeks tomorrow and go in for another doctors appointment on Monday. I won't get a sonogram or anything, but I will get to listen to the heartbeat. I won't get another sonogram till I think 20 weeks where we'll find out if it's a boy or girl. Other than that, that's about all the news as of now....I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying that in the next week or so that I regain some energy and my aversion to food goes away. If I'm not around food, I really feel pretty good, but that's hard to do when so many of our friends want to get together for dinners....why is that the only thing to do in this big city?? Certainly there is other stuff to do besides eating....we could go get snow cones and play putt putt or something, oh wait, that would require us to be outside....ugh, I hate Texas right now! :)
