About Me

Originally from Colorado, but came to Texas to attend Baylor University.  Joined the rowing team my freshman year and that is where I met Nick.  He was actually the head coach...I know it sounds scandalous but it was a club sport and he was a student coach :)
We dated all through college...and look at those young pups.  This must have been 10 years ago!

After we graduated college, I started my teaching career.  I was a high school business teacher and LOVED my job!  Nick started with his IT consulting and still does that to this day.
In March of 2005, Nick and I, along with both sets of parents went to Las Vegas and Nick proposed on that trip.  This is us after we got engaged.
Just our normal goofy selves.  When you see pictures of our children, you will see where they get their lips from :)

December 30, 2005 Nick and I got married in Colorado.  It was the perfect wedding.  As you can see, it was very elegant and classic, exactly what I wanted.  We had so much fun at our wedding and enjoyed our honeymoon in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.  That was our very first trip just the two of us and we had a blast!
This is the two of us when we were on a trip to Mexico with my family.  I remember this trip vividly because we had decided that after we got back from this trip, we were going to attempt to start a family. :)
Our last big trip before kiddos
Luckily, I got pregnant right away and we welcomed our first son, Cole Joseph, to our family on January 29, 2009.  This is me and Nick (and Benson) on our way to the hospital.
Two years later, we welcomed our daughter, Finley Marie.  She was born May 11, 2011.  This picture was taken on Mother's Day, a couple days before she was born.  This was our last picture as a family of 3.  When we had dinner that night, I didn't realize it at the time, but I was having some good contractions and I was so uncomfortable all through dinner.  I wasn't real aware of what contractions felt like (long story about Cole's birth) so I didn't realize that's what they were.
And this is our complete family...all 4 of us!

After having Finley, I decided that I would hang up my role as teacher and take a few years off.  It was a hard decision but I'm confident that we made the right one.  I'll be anxious to see how I like this SAHM thing but I'm excited to spend all the time in the world with my little ones!  God has truly blessed me and Nick!!!
