Pictures

Here are a few pictures from this past weekend...

This is a picture of me at 33 weeks....Ok, the one on top I hate b/c once again my belly looks like a torpedo.  So later on in the day once I changed clothes we took another one and this one seems better to me!

These are the funniest things ever.  Nick's Aunt Judy got us the "Pee-Pee Tee-Pees".  We laughed so hard when we saw them!

Big Baby

I had my regular doctors appointment yesterday, usually when I go in I'm in and out of the office within a few minutes because I've never had any issues, baby always seemed great, etc.  Well, yesterday was a little more exciting!
First off, since my last appointment 2 weeks ago, I only gained 1 pound!!!!!  I couldn't believe it, especially after Thanksgiving!  So that was kind of exciting.  Then....as I'm getting measured by the doctor, we come to realize that my belly had not grown any since my last appointment.  Uh, that's not normal is it?  I normally wouldn't have worried, but you have to realize that EVERYONE that I come across says to me, "you are due in January, you are small!!".  After you hear that day after day you kind of start to wonder.  So....when my measurements came back questionable, the doctor decided that doing an ultrasound would be the best thing so they could take some measurements.
So at this point, I would just like everyone to know that baby is BIG!  As the lady doing my sonogram said to me, "I'm just not sure where you are hiding this baby".  I'm almost at 33 weeks and he should be measuring at about 4lbs, not our little guy, he's about 5lbs right now.  She said he has a big head (oh joy...ha!), and long legs.  I told her that when one of the grandpas is 6 ft. 8in tall, that is to be expected.  I was so thrilled to hear that he was on the larger side because I started to worry a little bit that he wasn't growing enough.  He's just compacted in there pretty tight.  Yay for good news!!

Thanksgiving

Here are a few Thanksgiving pictures...

This is a picture of the Seeman Family AND all the dogs!  We definitely have our hands full...5 dogs!!  They definitely keep us all entertained though.

This is our Thanksgiving Day pre-meal.  Yummy chili!!

Here is me and Nick at our Sushi night...yeah yeah, I get california rolls...blah!!!  We figure about one more year till I can eat sushi again, I don't know if I can wait that long!

I am also having my last baby shower this weekend, my mom flies in today and is staying for the long weekend.  Nick and his friend Beau are getting all the husbands together the day of the shower and they are going to play Top Golf (basically a glorified driving range).  I'm glad the guys are doing that...having fun while the girls are eating good food and yummy mimosas.  (Not me of course).
All our baby furniture came in last weekend so we went to pick that up.  I love the furniture!  We got everything set up except the crib which won't be able to be assembled till after Christmas.  I can't wait to get everything up!
Less than 2 months left....YAY!!!!

Dumb Dogs!

This is a readers digest version of this story.....
Saturday, we take Benson to the vet because he tried to jump on the couch and missed, Benson hurt his leg and we get pain medication for him.  Sunday night, Nick and I come home around 10:30 to find that Roxy swiped everything off of the counter and got into the prescription bottles that had the pain medicine in them.  Benson and Roxy eat entire prescription (which is intended for Benson to take over a 2-week period by the way).  Nick and I call ER vet and they say, "bring them in asap".  We get there, both had their stomachs pumped and luckily Roxy had most of the pills in her system, otherwise it probably would have killed Benson.
I still don't understand why Roxy is hungry all the time, I mean, we feed her like normal dogs...why does she have to eat everything??
So $400 later and us still camera-less...we are glad they are ok, but bummed because we were going to use that money to BUY A NEW CAMERA!!!  Dumb dogs!!!
(They are still cute though!!!) :-)

New Picture

Nick and I decided that we were going to do the 3D sonogram, mainly because I won't be getting another sonogram till I'm almost due and I kinda wanted to see what our little guy is looking like.  So, we went to the sonogram and literally got ONE good picture!!!  Not because the lady didn't know what she was doing, but because baby had his hands in front of his face the ENTIRE TIME!!  I mean, I was put on my side, feet up in the air, and he would not budge.  Apparently he did not want his picture taken.  Besides him being stubborn, it was still cool to see everything.  He was head down with 2 hands and 1 leg by his head.  That's a pretty talented position if you ask me!  Here is the one good picture we got.

It's still fun to see his face and nose and hand, so I guess I can't complain, isn't it a cute picture!

This past weekend I wanted to start organizing his room and make room for the company that we are going to be having in the next month, so I decided to wash all the baby clothes so we could put them away till he is here and so we won't have baby clothes scattered all over our house.  Somehow that turned into Nick saying I'm in my "nesting" phase.  I am not nesting yet, just trying get things organized :-)  It was fun washing the clothes though, when I'd be folding the clothes, I'd find myself just laughing at some of them because they are just so tiny and cute!  I can't wait to dress him!

My first baby shower!

So this past weekend, I had my very first baby shower in Colorado.  It was SO good to get home and see my family and friends.  The weather was awesome and we all had a great time!  I was really sad to leave, because I probably won't be able to get back to Colorado till this spring. This was my last trip till our little guy comes because I'm not allowed to travel anymore.
Rachel, my mom and Maegan put on such a great shower, I was so impressed with everything they did.  One of my favorite parts of the shower was the awesome cake that Maegan made.  I couldn't believe she made it all by herself, and it was so yummy!  Here is a picture of the cake.

I also got to see some of my great friends from high school...

All in all, the shower was a great success and we got some awesome gifts!  We mostly got gift cards because everyone knew that I was going to be flying back to Texas, but that means Nick and I get to go shopping!!  :)
Everything else with us is great, just staying busy and enjoying our "Nick and Annie" time while we still have it.  We started our birthing class last week and I'd have to say it freaked me out a little bit, but I think that's normal.  Nick seems to really enjoy it surprisingly, he says he's learning a lot.
Baby is doing awesome, he is very active which I love....but sometimes at 3:00 am he's kind of hard to ignore, so I am awake a lot in the middle of the nights.  I guess that's God's way of training me for those middle of the night feedings!

Here is one more pictures from the shower....this is me, Rachel and Maegan.  You girls did an awesome job hosting the party!

So sorry!!!

I know, I know....I haven't updated this in a really long time and everyone wants to see pictures of the belly. WELL....that's kinda hard to do when we can't find the charger to our camera!!! Yeah, somehow misplaced the charger and haven't been able to take pictures for the last few weeks. I promise I will keep looking, otherwise we might have to break down and buy another one. I mean, our camera is about 7 years old, so it may be time to get a new one...right?? :-)

Dispite our camera woes, everything is going great. Baby is great, I'm great, Nick's great. I can definitely tell that baby is starting to run out of room and get more squished as I am starting to get quite a bit more uncomfortable. Simple tasks like: tying my shoes, bending over, shaving, putting lotion on....these things are getting quite complicated! It's kinda funny though and I just have to take it all in stride. I really can't complain about anything so I'm just embrassing all the changes going on. :-)

This week, I am officially entering my 3rd trimester and honestly getting a little freaked out. Whenever I start to think about how this baby is going to eventually come out, I get this nervous, sick feeling and sort of start to panic. That's normal right? I think I'm just going to have to take it one day at a time and not think to much about all that stuff.

Baby showers are starting to approach...my first one is in Colorado November 9th, then a school one towards the end of November, then my big Texas one December 6th...yes on my birthday!! I'm so looking forward to them, although I do hate it when all the attention is on me, but they will be a blast and can't wait for them.

I promise I will try my hardest to get some pictures posted soon...till then, this is as good as it gets! :-)

A Bad Picture!!

Ok, I REALLY hate this picture but people were complaining that I wasn't posting enough pictures. Hopefully Nick will take some better ones and then I'll post those later on. Personally I think my belly looks like a torpedo right now...:-)
Anyway, this is me at 22 weeks. Sometimes I think, "wow, I have 18 more weeks to go, where is it all going to go?" I feel like I can't get any bigger....haha!!! Just wait right????
The day I took this picture was kind of funny. Ever since I have been pregnant, I have been drinking so much milk. Before I was pregnant, Nick and I couldn't even go through half a gallon of milk without it going bad. Now, Nick makes fun of me because I go through a gallon of milk in one week...by myself! So the day of this picture, I was kinda wondering why I hadn't felt him move all day long. Usually after I have my breakfast he goes nuts. I was trying to drink sweet stuff, eat some candy, nothing was working. On my way home from work, Nick asked if I had had milk that day. I hadn't, so I went home, had a bowl of cereal and then all of a sudden at that moment, baby became a soccer player!!! Nick even got to feel him kick for the first time and he felt it at the perfect moment because that was the biggest kick I had felt yet. Nick thought it was so cool, but freaky at the same time, like there are aliens in there or something.
I have also started going to the chiropractor and that has been a life-saver! I haven't had as many bach aches, leg cramps and have been sleeping so much better! PLUS, they have a prenatal masseuse there that does some muscle work on me and all I have to pay is my $20 copay!!! How awesome is that? Usually you can spend $100 easily on a massage, but my insurance covers this.
Everything else is great with us, we are starting to get things ready for the baby's room so that we can paint in a couple weekends. Then my parents and brother Ross are coming in 3 weekends and we are going to pick out furniture and stuff like that...and of course play some golf while they're here. Can't wait to see them!

We love Boys!!!

After seeing this picture, we are 100% sure it's a boy. This picture cracks me up b/c he is spread eagle and we are looking at his booty and "private area" ...from the bottom up. We got some great pictures yesterday and it was especially fun for Nick to see it all because last time he saw a sonogram was when he was the size of a blueberry....not much to see there!

The doctor said everything else looks great, he already has a fat belly even.

We truly did not care either way, if it was a boy or girl, but now that we know we are both just so thrilled! We are getting so excited, especially because now we can go shopping!! I even started looking at Pottery Barn and found some cute bedding. It's kind of a sage green and brown. If anyone knows me, I'm definitely not into the pastel colors, especially for boys! So finding bedding that I actually like could be tricky.

We also have not decided on any names....I think we got asked that about a million times yesterday :) We are keeping our options open, so who knows when he'll have a name.
To celebrate our exciting day yesterday, Nick and I went out for sushi!!!! Now, I know what you all are thinking...pregnant women aren't supposed to be eating raw fish. Well, I did splurge and had a couple california rolls which is just crab meat and then the others, I took out that yummy piece of meat and just ate the roll....meatless. Actually, it wasn't all that bad, it was actually a meal that I thouroughly enjoyed and that hasn't happend in a really long time. It was so worth it!!
Here are a couple more pictures from yesterday...

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love you, Tomorrow!!!

Oh my goodness....I feel like I'm about to pee my pants (literally actually), but tomorrow is the day we find out if baby is a boy or girl!!! I cannot wait! Everyone keeps asking if I have any intuition as to what it could be, but NO, I haven't the slightest clue. I also have no preference if it's a boy or girl, as long as it doesn't have 9 legs and is healthy. I definitely can't wait to tell certain people (mudder-in-law), b/c some swear it is one gender over the other!

I also think I'm starting to feel a few more pokes, either that or I just have really crazy gas bubbles..ha! :) Oh wait, girls don't do that right? :)
Anyway, as soon as we find out tomorrow what it is, we will let everyone know. Just pray that the little one doesn't have it's legs crossed like it did last time, I don't think I could wait another week!

Getting there...

Well, the day has come where all of a sudden, my belly has popped out there! Seriously I feel as though it happened over night. It's kind of fun though because now people actually know I'm pregnant and don't just think I gained a bunch of weight during the summer. I have also graduated into maternity pants which was the greatest invention of all time! They are SO much more comfortable! Thank goodness my neighbor Casey and I are the same size because I raided her closet and now I have a whole new wardwrobe.
I haven't felt any movement yet, but I swear last night I felt that slight "flutter" that everyone talks about. It kind of gave me that feeling as though I had butterflies in my tummy.
Some other exciting news.....a week from tomorrow is when we have our big sonogram and they are going to tell us if it is a boy or girl. I can hardly stand the wait! They are going to check all the organs and make sure everything looks good in the uterus. I guess right now the baby is about 6 inches head to rump and a little less than a pound. That's pretty big if you ask me, but we definitely have a long ways to go! Everyone says the last half of the pregnancy feels so much longer...oh joy :) I'm already starting to get a little uncomfortable, backaches, cramps in my legs, can't sleep...and I'm only half way there!!!!!!! Oh well, it's all worth it right? I have definitely realized lately how precious this whole experience is and how I cannot take it for granted. As one of my dear friends just lost her baby this weekend due to miscarriage and so many of our friends are unable to even have kids, I truly am thankful for what God has blessed us with!

More Ice Cream!!!

This is the first time in my entire life that anyone has ever told me that I need to gain more weight and eat more ice cream! Wow....how exciting! I guess I didn't really realize but when I went in for a doctors appointment yesterday, he said to me, "you realize you haven't gained a single pound right"? He told me I need to eat more! I feel like I'm eating all the time, so this could be interesting.
Some exciting news though, he said that we could come back in 3 weeks to have a sonogram and that's when they can tell us if it's a boy or girl. I cannot wait! Everyone just pray that that baby is spread eagle when they do the sonogram, because last time it had it's legs crossed...and if anyone knows me, they know I am a little impatient and don't think I could wait longer than 3 weeks.
Teacher inservice started yesterday, and I have to admit, it's kind of nice to be back into the swing of things. I'm sure I'll change my mind in a couple weeks, but it's better than sitting around the house being bored! Now I just have to get used to these long days without taking naps, boy was I tuckered out yesterday when I got home!!

This kid is already being a brat! ha!!

If this kid of ours is showing us what it's going to be like in time to come...we are in trouble!! Had a little bit of a rough weekend and the cause of that, my doctor has now decided that I can't go to YoungLives camp. UGH!!!!
I woke up in the middle of the night on Saturday with horrible cramping and felt like my kidney was about to explode, probably the worse pain I've ever had in my life. With that said, Nick took me to the ER and found that I had an acute kidney infection and was severely dehydrated. Basically the cause of the kidney infection was because I was so dehydrated and I'm blaming the dehydration on this dang 107 degree weather we are having...that's my story and I'm stickin to it!
The doctor said they probably should have admitted me to the hospital for a day or two, but I responded well to the medicine and promised I'd stay hydrated. All I know is that whatever the nurse gave me in my IV was the best thing in the whole world, it pretty much knocked me our for several hours, letting me get a few hours of sleep. I'm feeling a ton better, not 100%, but anything is better than how I felt Saturday!
The real bad news to the story is that I had to go into my OB today and tell him what happened over the weekend and without any hesitation, he said..."nope, you aren't going to camp, sorry". I was supposed to be leaving Wednesday morning for YoungLives camp for a week with our girls and I was so looking forward to it!! It was in upstate New York and I think the thing I was most excited about was that the high temperature is going to be 79!!! Oh, I couldn't wait to get out of this heat....but no, now I'm stuck in Dallas. The doctor said if camp would have been a week later it wouldn't have been an issue, but he still wants to run a couple more tests and keep an eye on me over the next few days.
The good thing that came out of it was that they made me get a sonogram and we actually got to see something that resembled a human being. Our last sonogram just looked like a blob, but now you can
actually see limbs, head, spine, etc.

Here is one of the pictures. The lady doing the sonogram was laughing b/c she said the baby had it's face smooshed on the bottom of the uterus with it's butt up in the air. She also said that she may have been able to tell the sex, but it's legs were crossed and tucked up into its body. Hopefully in 6 weeks at our next sonogram it isn't doing the same thing.
So I guess the most important thing is that baby is fine and I have to keep reminding myself that it's not just about me anymore....:0)

Bye Atticus!!

Over the past week, Nick and I were dog-sitting for Atticus, and besides my dogs, he's one of my favorites! He is a 7 month old chocolate lab and he is the sweetest puppy ever! We were tempted to steal him, but I don't think his mom would have liked me too much. Atticus had to leave yesterday and we are all pretty bummed, however, I think deep down our dogs are glad to see him go :) They didn't like our attention going to any dog but them!
Last Friday I hit 13 weeks and throughout the pregnancy, all my friends would say, "once you get into your 2nd trimester, you'll feel like a whole new person"....but I was convinced that was all bogus talk and I was going to feel like poo-poo the rest of my life. WELL....I swear that once I hit that 13 week point, I DID feel like a whole new person!!! And Thank God!!! I'm still not 100%, more around 80%. I'm just so thrilled, mostly because we leave for YoungLives camp in a week and a half and I really wanted to feel good for it, so yay!
Last week when I went in for my 2nd doctors appointment, I got to hear the heartbeat and that was pretty cool! He said the little kiddo is the size of a giant shrimp and the eyes are no longer on the side of it's head...haha! Doctor said everything else looks great, I do have to go to a Neurologist in 2 weeks because since I have become pregnant, I have had bad numbness and tingling in my right leg and it's really starting to bother me, especially when I'm sleeping. He said it's probably just a nerve blockage and hopefully some physical therapy will fix it.
That's all for now.....

New to this

I used to always read my friends blogs and love seeing what was going on in their lives, but never in a million years think that one day I would join in on the blogger lifestyle. I normally wouldn't do this, but since Nick and I have a little kiddo joining us in January, I thought it would be a fun way to keep family and friends updated, especially with all the pictures!

So as of now, little Seeman is the size of a LIME, holy cow!! I will be 12 weeks tomorrow and go in for another doctors appointment on Monday. I won't get a sonogram or anything, but I will get to listen to the heartbeat. I won't get another sonogram till I think 20 weeks where we'll find out if it's a boy or girl. Other than that, that's about all the news as of now....I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying that in the next week or so that I regain some energy and my aversion to food goes away. If I'm not around food, I really feel pretty good, but that's hard to do when so many of our friends want to get together for dinners....why is that the only thing to do in this big city?? Certainly there is other stuff to do besides eating....we could go get snow cones and play putt putt or something, oh wait, that would require us to be outside....ugh, I hate Texas right now! :)
