A few updates and 38 Weeks

We are officially in the "waiting game" part of this pregnancy. I am 38 weeks and DEFINITELY ready for this baby to get here! We have pretty much all the baby stuff down from the attic and ready to use. I knew Cole would be pretty curious with all this baby stuff around and he certainly is putting the baby items to good use. :) He knows that the swing is for a baby, but his idea of a baby and our idea are a little different apparently. :) He always wants to put his Woody doll in the swing, or his monkey, or Buzz Lightyear....and he gets a little crazy pushing his "babies". Guess we will have to keep an eye on him when our real baby is in there so he doesn't give the baby whiplash.

I have realized lately that I haven't had any pictures with Cole lately. Probably because I'm not supposed to be lifting him, so I took this yesterday and it actually turned out alright...ok, maybe put some makeup on me, actually do my hair, put some clothes on my kid, then maybe we'd have a good picture, but whatever! :)

38 Weeks!

How Far Along: 38 Weeks

Size of Baby: Guessing a little over 7lbs...last weeks sono guestimated it was about 6lbs 12oz, so I think a little over 7 now.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still about 18-19lbs...the nurse says it's totally normal to not gain weight towards the end b/c I really am running out of room and not very hungry these days.

Maternity Clothes: Duh, pretty much everything...wearing a lot of Nick's tshirts these days while being cooped up at home.

Gender: Still a surprise

Movements: Still lots!! It's starting to keep me awake at night now. I just think it's funny because all newborns do is sleep, so why are they so active before they come out!?!

Sleep: Not getting much sleep these days. Starting to get very sore in my hips and legs and if I wake up I'll be awake for at least an hour. So, if I get up about 2-3 times to use the restroom, then I lay there for another hour each time I do the math!

What I Miss: Doing my normal mom and wife stuff. My house is kind of a disaster most of the time and I have to just sit and watch Nick and Cole play together while I just sit there. Not my idea of fun!

Cravings: Still just ice cream

Symptoms: Nothing too exciting besides the typical end of the pregnancy symptoms. I'm one of those lucky ones that doesn't swell or retain water. But my aches and pains definitely make of for it!

I love your blog! And am so jealous btw that you have only gained 18 pounds. I am already at 13 and that was three weeks ago at the dr. so who knows what he will say next week!!! And I was happy to see Cole's bed too. We have Paige in a double. I'm glad she has the extra space to move around!
